Interiority brings together the work of Jana Pryor and Nick Stull in an exploration of memory, reflection, uncertainty, and human connection. Through black-and-white photography and figurative painting, both artists consider the space between the external world and our inner lives.

Pryor’s atmospheric photographs transform landscapes into metaphors for reflection and becoming. Mist, shifting light, and expansive horizons create spaces where certainty dissolves, inviting viewers to connect the landscapes with their own memories and emotions. In the absence of color, the photographs emphasize texture, atmosphere, and the tension between what is visible and what remains unseen.

Stull’s figurative paintings and experimental portraits explore the complexity of the human interior. Working in a soft, muted palette, he moves between realism and abstraction, drawing viewers into intimate moments before pulling them back into expansive or ambiguous spaces. His partially concealed subjects offer only glimpses of their inner worlds, reflecting our universal desire, and inability, to fully know another person.

Together, Pryor and Stull create contemplative spaces that invite viewers to look beyond what is immediately visible and consider the unseen experiences that shape how we understand ourselves and one another.
