JOYFUL. ACCESSIBLE. UNIFYING.
Sarah Gormley Gallery operates from the belief that owning original art can be a source of joy for everyone.
Founded in Spring 2019, the gallery connects emerging and established artists with first-time art buyers and long-time collectors through a shared appreciation for original art, and its power to stir us from within. In 2023, Columbus Monthly readers voted SGG the best gallery in Columbus.
SARAH GORMLEY
GALLERY OWNER
Born and raised in Chandlersville, Ohio, Sarah Gormley returned home in 2017 after years in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco, discovering a renewed appreciation for the richness of life in Ohio and the vibrant community of Columbus. She opened Sarah Gormley Gallery in 2019, initially as a pop-up, but the rich artistic talent and welcoming patrons has the gallery in its seventh year. She is passionate about demystifying the art buying process for new collectors and believes art can and be a source of joy for everyone.
When she's not curating the next exhibition at SGG, Sarah can be found leading Marketing and Communications at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, or writing her second book to follow her memoir, The Order of Things.
BECCA GOODBURN
GALLERY DIRECTOR
Columbus native and OU Bobcat, Becca Goodburn has spent most of her career in the marketing and PR field, working for local agencies with clients in the entertainment, startup, B2B, and nonprofit sectors. Her most recent role with the Short North Arts District immersed her in the Columbus gallery and arts scene, and fatefully, introduced her to Sarah Gormley.
Becca runs the day-to-day operations at the gallery. She finds joy in watching artists evolve and connecting clients to work that speaks to them.
When she's not at SGG, she can be found spending time with friends, family, two rescue pups, Bowie and Tony Hawk, and orange kitties, Ellie and Ollie.
