The Structure of Color features the latest works from artists Nicki Crock and Susanne Dotson. At first glance, these two bodies of work vary greatly -- Nicki's crisp straight lines and rigid architectural forms compared to Susanne's free-flowing, organic strokes and almost abstract florals. However, similarity can be found in each artist's use of color- choosing bright, bold, and playful colors to create scenes where those colors may never exist. Nicki and Susanne both strive to create a sense of nostalgia through their work, stirring up feelings of house and home or what it feels like to walk through a lush garden.
